The challenge for this shoot was that there was an espresso/cappuccino small business about twenty feet from where we were shooting the interviews. I was able to understand which noises were interfering too much and which were acceptable for the finished project. We were constantly pausing the interviews, but the end result sounds great.
Projects
IC Electric School Bus Pitch Video: Sacramento
The challenge for this shoot was the outside interviews being used for a majority of the audio. I was able to provide proper wind protection which diminished the sound of the wind.
County Care Health Commercial: Baseball
The challenge for this shoot was finding a proper place to do a voice over at the end of the day. I was able to rule out some often used spaces, and we ended up paying a neighbor to use their home. It ended up sounding great.
Lululemon Deodorant Commercial
The challenge for this shoot was the reverberant sound of a voice in a locker room. I was able to deaden the effect with extra sound blankets and my choice of microphone.
Fader Magazine Documentary: Vic Mensa
The challenge here was having everything ready to go at a moment’s notice. Mic’ing and unmic’ing many people throughout a day was quite challenging yet fun.
Nine West: Holiday Gift Guide with Lauren
A simple shoot with no real challenges.
The Second City: Creepy British Child Syndrome
The challenge for this shoot was trying to minimize the reverb created by shooting in a basement and in an empty school. My mic choice helped with that.
Orthopedic Shoulder Center Commercial
The only real issue here was that there was a large grade school across the street so constant pausing while outside was essential.
AMPY Kickstarter Video
This was a fun little shoot with no major challenges, and it is for a product I believe in.
